What You Can Expect

At Harris Family Dentistry, we provide services that range from cleanings all the way to reconstructive and cosmetic dentistry. Our office is equipped with the proper team and technology to successfully care for all of your dental needs in a comforting and friendly environment.
Exams & Cleanings
These routine appointments are recommended every 6 months by the American Dental Association. More than “just a cleaning”, these appointments help maintain proper oral health. They often accompany X-rays to identify and prevent future dental problems such as decay or cracked teeth.
Composite Fillings (Tooth-Colored Fillings)

A composite filling is a tooth colored filling that is matched to the same color of your tooth when necessary because of tooth decay.

Root Canals

A root canal is treatment to repair and save a tooth that has become abscessed and infected.

Porcelain Crowns

Also known as a “cap”, a porcelain crown is a tooth-colored cover to make a tooth stronger and last longer if the tooth is severely damaged. Examples for instances when a crown is needed include: excessive decay, broken teeth or cracked teeth.

Veneers

Veneers are porcelain coverings that fit directly onto the front of your natural teeth to give you the smile you’ve always wanted. Your veneers will be customly designed for you and made of the highest quality porcelain. Veneers are the ultimate cosmetic change you can make to your smile: often fabricated for spaces, dark teeth and misshapen teeth.

Cosmetic Bonding

Bonding can repair a range of common dental problems including gaps between teeth, chipped or cracked teeth, disarranged teeth, and discoloration and decay. The bonding procedure can usually be completed in one visit.

Implant Restorations

Dental implants are high-tech replacement teeth that have the same basic parts as natural teeth. Some of the benefits to dental implants include restored chewing functionality, prevention of bone loss, and a higher level of comfort. With proper care, they can even last a lifetime!

Periodontal Treatment

Periodontal treatment is the treatment of inflamed and infected gums caused by bacteria. Gum disease can actually be linked to many health conditions such as heart disease and respiratory disease.

Dentures and Partials

A removable or permanent “arch of teeth” is worn to replace all or some missing teeth. They are matched perfectly with a person’s smile and are very natural looking.

Implant Supported Dentures

These are dentures of porcelain teeth (such as a porcelain crown) attached to implants resulting in the best fit and feel of real teeth.

Sleep Apnea Appliance

A sleep apnea appliance is a custom-made appliance to treat sleep apnea. Sleep apnea is a sleeping disorder in which a person stops breathing for brief periods of time while asleep, and it can leave a person feeling tired and exhausted. At one time, a CPAP machine was the only method of treatment.

Invisalign®

Invisalign® is a type of orthodontic treatment to straighten teeth by wearing clear, invisible plastic aligners. The length of treatment and number of aligners vary with each individual. It is a popular choice among teens and adults.

Whitening

Brighter and whiter teeth have always been desired by teens and adults of all ages. Professional whitening is easy with pre filled disposable trays to wear at home and is a method of whitening that causes no sensitivity.

Sedation Options

Does visiting the dentist make you uneasy? We can help! Many patients experience dental anxiety and are fearful of their dental visits, not to mention undergoing dental procedures. While dental phobia is a common occurrence, it shouldn’t interfere with yearly visits to the dentist. Sedation dentistry is an excellent option for fearful or anxious patients. In office, we offer sedation in the form of Nitrous Oxide, commonly known as laughing gas. Nitrous Oxide has been a primary use of sedation in dentistry for years because of the safety and effectiveness in reducing patient anxiety. Dr. Harris and our staff will properly inform you on the process and advantages of Nitrous Oxide Sedation should it be appropriate for your treatment.
